Another great week of Other Side Drive! I’ll tell you all about it in our daily breakdown:

Things kicked off on Monday when The Blackwells joined Halie and Charlie in the studio. They played a couple live songs and talked about their sound, image, and swag! SWAG?! Yes, bands have swag too! They also talked about their new album and album cover.
If you tuned in Tuesday, you were able to catch an exclusive interview with writer Maggie Stiefvater, author of “The Raven.”

On Wednesday, our lovely hosts Melissa and Michelle were joined in the studio by Eyes Lips Eyes and Girl In A Coma. Eyes Lips Eyes played some songs live in our studios and talked about the difference between Los Angeles, where they live, and Texas. However, it is not their first time in Texas; they also talked about playing SXSW! Girl In A Coma also stopped by to make it all girls in the studio. They opened up their interview with a song which was sung in spanish, too cool! They also talked about being from San Antonio, Texas and how they met.
On Thursday, Garrett and Stephanie were joined by Kristen from the Austin Film Festival! She is their event’s coordinator and telemarketer, so she had all the juicy information about one of Austin’s greatest film festivals. Kristen talked about the difference between the conference part of the festival and the actual festival and what each has to offer. She also shared with us a couple of the movies and speakers we can expect in this year’s festival. Interested? You can find more information here!
All week we’ve been giving away Art Outside tickets on October 19-21st, we’ll be giving out 3 pairs today! Make sure to tune in at 4 PM.
