Trained therapy dogs will be at the Alkek Library next week in the Leisure Reading area of the main floor. You’ll get the chance to pet a dog while studying or reading to help ease the stress off of your final exams. Alkek library’s very own Kay Hetherly talks about the importance of this growing trend.

“Libraries across the country, several law school libraries have had this program. Its really important I think for us to get out the message that we really care about the students mental health and we really want to help them out during this stressful time. And just make the library a fun place to be and a home for them.”
– Kay Hetherly

The therapy dogs will be at the Alkek Library main floor under the stairway on Monday May 1st from 10 AM-12 PM, May 2nd 12 PM-2 PM, and May 3rd 1 PM-3 PM.
