Doctor Stan McClellan, professor of Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State’s College of Science and Engineering program, is a key figure in the ABET accreditation earned by Texas State’s electrical engineering and computer engineering program.

Recently, the department of Science and Engineering earned The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology accreditation, which is a recognized accreditor of college and university programs in science, engineering, computer, and engineering technology. ABET bases their accreditation on the quality of education, the improvements made each year, and the type of goals meet and demanded by each program. Doctor Stan McClellan describes the benefits of earning an ABET accreditation award.

“Accreditation for engineering and undergraduate programs is extremely important. We are very pleased that ABET has accredited our electrical engineering and computer engineering program as well as our manufacturing engineering program.”

“Graduation from an accredited engineering program is a great benefit to students because many employers require that the people they hire have to be from an ABET accreditation program.”
– Dr. Stan McClellan

The report focuses on one of the many programs offered here at Texas State. The University plans to continue the growth of The College of Science and Engineering, while presenting students with a learning environment that enhances students for the real world.
