    Location Motivation: Happy Hour Pricing

After going around town, I talked with multiple people to see where they go to get a drink for the best price. Here’s how to get that buzz without spending your bucks.

Texas State student Christian Clayton says, “My favorite place to drink in San Marcos probably has to be at Sean Patrick’s Irish Pub downtown. Usually on Thursday nights, you can bring your own mug that they usually provide for you if you buy it for about $4. You can get $2 you call its and $2 wells. It’s a good time to always bring your friends out on a Thursday night.Including if you don’t have class on Fridays”

There you go guys! No class on Fridays, no problem! Sean Patrick’s seems like the place to be.

Next, I talked with Ryder Burke, a freshly turned 21 year old and new to the happy hour scene. “If you were to ask me what my favorite place to go to in San Marcos during happy hour. I would definitely go with Railyard. Their happy hour goes from 3 to 7. You’ll get 50 cents off your beer. 1 dollar off appetizers and liquor. And you get that happy hour price any time the train goes by. With that train playing an big part of Texas State culture, its nice to benefit from it.”

So did you guys catch that? Anytime the train goes by while you are at Railyard here in San Marcos, you receive those happy hour prices! So I guess in this case, instead of praying for rain, we’e praying for TRAIN.

Last, I asked Keeli Christensen where her favorite place to go was. “My favorite happy hour place in San Marcos is Los Cucos during the day because they have an outside seating area and happy hour pricing all day on Tuesdays!”

So there you have it guys, Sean Patricks on Thursdays, Los Cucos on Tuesdays, and Railyard any time the train passes by! Whenever class has got you stressed out and in need of a drink, but your wallets looking a little empty, these places seem cool to keep in mind.

That’s it for today’s show, be on the look out for our next Location Motivation here on KTSW’s Other Side Drive
