We all have preferences or things that tend to attract us. What if the reason that we find better relationships with certain people is because of our similar personality traits? In respect to those that may be a little skeptic, it is true there are a lot of things that go into compatibility between two people. For instance, there are other parts to your actual sign that can be found on a Zodiac Chart, and depending on this additional information, there can be differences in your sun sign compatibility. There are also other factors that play into people’s lives that can affect the way that they interact with people. Although this is true, your sign is said to depict characteristics of you. I believe that your characteristics can influence how you deal with things that happen to you in life. With additional elements that affect these aspects of your sign, I can see where skepticism can be a reasonable belief. With that said, there are some very accurate truths to zodiac connections, and it is up to you to be aware of them.

What does your zodiac sign tend to look for in someone else? Well, signs are broken down into the elements water, earth, air and fire. Just as it seems, some things do not function well together. For example, water and fire. This does not necessarily mean that the people of these signs cannot be together, but instead that there may be challenges that arise in the relationships, compared to a relationship with a more compatible sign. Here are some of the general ideas of what your sun sign looks for in another person or relationship.

Air Signs:

Aquarius (January 20-February 18) An Aquarius is a partner that needs to build a connection and feel comfortable. Nothing will come from an Aquarius if their other isn’t dedicated or inline with what the Aquarius is ready to share. This sign has a very smart way of doing things and can often see past what you think they see, so they do not stand for untrustworthy partners. As a fun, loving and unpredictable sign, they like to have someone that they can pull apart like an onion, layer by layer. They need someone that is not too serious, but instead interesting and able to have good conversations and adventurous times.

Gemini (May 21-June 21) Who do they want? They can choose. The Gemini is a sign that has everyone fawning over them. With a friendly and social nature, they will talk and be interested in just about anyone. Gemini’s will not necessarily look to settle down too quickly, because they like playing with emotions and disregarding feelings. An adventurous and unique partner will grab a Gemini’s attention, so long as the person can keep up with the ever so expanding mind. A Gemini will not choose to be tied down or underestimated, as they know that they have a lot to offer someone. They look for a partner that can offer knowledge on valuable subjects and prefer someone that can keep their sensitivity out of a good argument.

Libra (September 23-October 22) Libras are well-rounded individuals that like someone that is easy to be around. They appreciate being themselves and like to explore their surroundings. Finding someone that is confident and already well off is a good start for them. In relationships a Libra will show care and give to their partner, and will want a supportive person in return. The Libra knows what is going on in life, so someone that is spacy, disconnected or too sensitive will drive him or her away. With this, a good partner for this sign is someone that is charming and charismatic and can show the Libra that they are wanted.

Earth Signs:

Capricorn (December 22-Janurary 19) Capricorn people are independent and have a way of doing things that they think is best. In their partner, the like someone that can offer stability to their already controlled environment. Because of their hard working nature, someone that is able to offer good emotional support and a hard working attitude will make them happy.

Taurus (April 20-May 20) A Taurus looks for a partner that is strong, interesting and well put together. The Taurus is a driven, well-grounded, and stable individual that is loyal and dependable, so they tend to look for honesty and commitment in others. They can often handle intense or extravagant people, as they have high values and appreciate someone that can offer them a well-off lifestyle. They like a partner that is able to handle their stubborn and hard to penetrate exterior, while offering a sensitive, valuable and devoted kind of love.

Virgo (August 23-September 22) With a Virgo, you will need to show them that you have a sense of affection for others, and a good grasp for reasoning and compassion to the world. They are very supportive and helpful souls, so being someone that is not always needy will offer them a break from their natural instincts. As a leader and a perfectionist, this sign will not go out of their way to look for the right partner, but instead will wait for the right partner to come to them. When the right partner does come along, the Virgo will overcompensate for all of the time that they have waited, and the relationship will be crazy and full of emotions.

Water Signs:

Cancer (June 22-July 22) The Cancer is a sign that loves others. They are very caring and will do a lot to make sure that the people around them are happy. In return, they want a partner that is also caring. When a Cancer looks for a partner they will look for someone that they can form a comforting place with, like a future home. With their sensitive nature, they will want a partner that will give them security instead of flightiness.  Cancers will not want someone that thinks it is their way or the highway. Instead of being with someone that lives for the spotlight, they prefer someone that can be social but still dedicated and devoted to their relationship.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21) A Scorpio is a deep lover that is made for passion. With this, their partners need to have an emotional depth that can see past what they choose to show. They will need a person that can understand their need for feelings, while understanding that they can be unforgiving. As a Scorpio falls in love, they will need honesty and devotion from their partner, because leaving or disobeying them is not an option. They need someone that is hot and steamy, like them, while still showing a mature side that will come off as sexy to those that look on. Their partner should not dare step outside of the boundaries that were set between the two. Once they do the Scorpio will feel betrayed by their love, and will become callus and will need a lot to feel like they can trust again.

Pisces (February 19-March 20) Pisces look for emotional support and love from their partner. When a Pisces is looking for love, they are expecting to have someone that can deal with their deep levels of imagination, while still being enough of a realist to make it work. They want someone that will handle their outlandish expectations but is willing to help bring them back down to reality when they grab their emotions and run with them. They need someone that will give them blunt reality, while blanketing the emotions that will come when reality hits.

Fire Signs:

Aires (March 21-April 19) An Aries is a partner that will let you know what they want, with little regard to how you feel in that position. They want a confident and well-oiled person that has goals and ambitions. When getting a partner, they look for nice exterior, but brains as well. This short-tempered sign needs someone that will understand how to handle his or her fast emotions and keep moving instead of dwelling on the natural hot-headedness of the ram.

Leo (July 23-August 22) Strong and egotistic, the Leo needs someone that can compliment their style and stride. If you can’t keep up, the Leo will not be cold-hearted, but will simply move along. They look for someone that is very loyal, truthful and confident. This sign will be a very loving, devoted, romantic and strong for their partner. A Leo enjoys beauty and perfection, so a partner that strives for these qualities and is a natural leader will do well supporting the strong-mind and high expectations of a Leo.   

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) This free spirited soul will not settle for less than they deserve. The Sagittarius will not be buckled down by a relationship that is negative or constraining. This sign will only allow those into their space that show the ability to give them adventure and go with them anywhere that their heart desires. Someone that is fun and free-willed will capture the heart of a Sagittarius.
