The Buffaloes Buff Out The Bobcats

The Bobcats get shut down by Colorado in a 37 to 3 loss. The biggest offensive play from the Bobcats came early in the in the form of an Anthony 55 yard run. Taylor finished 66 yards on eight carries. The only other bright spot for the bobcats on offense came from Thurman Morbley who had 23 yards rushing on two carries and 96 yards receiving on five catches. Other than that the Buffaloes completely silence the Bobcats. Damian Williams did not have a good game at all. He only threw for 95 yards and an interception to make it his second game in a row with a turnover. He has yet to throw for a touchdown in two games this season. The QB for the Buffs (Steven Montez) had an outstanding game with 299 yards passing and a touchdown. Montez also rushed for a touchdown as well. Phillip Lindsay ran all over the Bobcats with 87 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. The passing game for the Buffs was unstoppable. Shay fields led the way with five catches for 110 yards, and he was accompanied by Bryce Bobo who had a 75 yards and found the endzone once on seven receptions. Devin Ross also had 68 yards on four grabs with some amazing plays down the field against the Bobcats.

This loss moves the Bobcats down to 1-1 on the season and they play again next Saturday (the 15th) on Family Weekend here in San Marcos. They take on the defending Sun Belt Conference champions Appalachian State Mountaineers at 6 p.m. You can tune into the pregame at 5:45 and catch all Texas State Football games on KTSW 89.9!
