You would be surprised how much a compliment can mean to someone. As most people know, being nice to someone goes a long way. Compliments work the same way; a compliment can really turn someone’s day around. A person can be having a really bad day, but if someone gives them a compliment that can be the highlight of their day. Think about how a compliment has affected you, it probably made you feel a little bit better than you already did.

I give people compliments all the time! I don’t do it every day, but I do it has often as I can. I don’t do it to get anything out of it, it just comes naturally but, if it ends up making someone feel better than so be it. It’s always nice to see the smile on people’s face after I give them a compliment. Compliments are also nice because they’re unexpected. I’ve watched how shocked people are when they are given a compliment. When I receive a compliment it always throws me off guard. I’m pretty sure most compliments that are given are unexpected to the majority of people too. Think about how past compliments have made you feel and how they changed your mood throughout the day. It’s nice making someone’s day just from a couple of words.

I know when I get complimented it makes me feel good about myself. It’s nice to think that someone would take the time out of their day to notice something about me. I’m pretty sure others can say the same when they are complimented. There has been days when I felt like I didn’t look my best, however that small compliment from someone always does make me feel a little better. I’ve seen people’s demeanor change when I gave them compliments, which I enjoyed seeing them light up. So, not only can a compliment impact you, but it can also impact others. My advice to you is to go out and make someone’s day with a compliment! You never know what someone might be going through.
