Environmental Initiatives in San Marcos

Recently, groups of San Marcos citizens have taken the initiative to promote environmentally friendly activities in our community. Two of these initiatives include Campus Garden, created by Texas State graduate, Josiah Reece, and SMTX Permaculture, a group of people committed to making the world a better place by creating self-sustaining agriculture for our community.  Reece, visited our KTSW studios during Other Side Drive to talk about a new garden he helped put together on campus. The Bear Went Over The Mountain

  Photo Credit: My Bear Mountain Last week Bear Mountain— an awesome electronic and dance group from Vancouver— stopped by the studio before their late night Austin City Limits show at Emo’s. The Fern and Connor had a great time chatting with group members Ian, Kyle, and Kenji about bagels, some of their favorite ACL shows, and what makes their own shows so special. Improv Comedian, Jill Bernard, Visits Studio

  Jill Bernard and Eric Hyberg kicked off the Fall 2013 season of KTSW’s Other Side Drive with a quirky and fun interview. They informed listeners about a range of topics, from their comedy tour that was moving through Austin to some of the improvisation workshops that Jill hosts. Amy Arani Visits Studio

Amy Arani, contemporary singer-songwriter, stopped by the KTSW studio on Monday before her performance at the Bookstore Blowout on Tuesday.
