Hello, KTSW fans! It’s your friendly neighborhood DJ here, Lady R! During SXSW, I got to do my first round of band interviews! Boy, was I nervous but the bands I interviewed turned out to be just a bunch of wonderful people spending time in Austin. Oh, and playing their music in the sun. Haha! ;) First up was Wild Child, a band from Austin itself. It was their third year at SXSW. The band consists of lead singers and founders Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins, drummer Carey McGraw, cellist Sadie Wolfie, Keyboardist Evan Magers, and Bassist Christ D’Annunzio. The band boasts classic tunes such as Crazy Bird and Silly Things. They were the perfect subjects for this radio DJ’s first interview because they were warm and friendly. They answered my many whimsical questions with even more whimsical questions. Their concert was a blast to the past for me. It felt like I was transported to the 70’s for just a little while. They were lovely to me and I wish them the best.
