Segment 2: Texas State Talk

Texas State Baseball- The Bobcat Baseball team dropped 2 out of 3 games this past weekend on the road against Louisiana Monroe.
Texas State Softball- After dropping a non-conference game to UTSA  last Wednesday the Bobcats returned to conference play this past weekend. They were swept by Georgia State in 3 games.
Texas State Football- The Maroon and Gold game took place this past Saturday afternoon. The Maroon team came out victorious 30-29.

Masters- Bubba Watson won his second Masters in the past three years. 20 year-old Jordan Spieth and Jonas Blixt tied for 2nd place.
MLB- The Rangers won 2 out of 3 games against the Astros this past weekend in Arlington, TX.

NBA- The Spurs have clinched the top seed in the Western Conference while the top seed in the East is still up for grabs. All the playoff spots are set in both conferences except the 8th seed in the West.
This Day in Sports History-Back in 2002 Tiger Woods became the third golfer to win two consecutive Masters tournaments. Also last year, Adam Scott won the 77th Masters shooting a 279.
Happy birthday to Pete Rose, former Cincinnati Reds player, who was born back in 1941 and turns 73 today.
