San Marcos, Hays County Live Election Coverage

Election night has arrived, and as of 7 p.m., the polls have closed, and the votes will be counted by the end of the night.

KTSW News reporters are in George’s at a live broadcasting of results, while other reporters are at election parties, calling in information. You may tune in to coverage at 89.9 FM, or check back here for more information.

In Hays County, the elections for Proposition 1, mayor of San Marcos, city council member places 3 and place 4 are some of the elections up for the running.

As of 7:30 p.m., the early votes may be looked at for result expectations.

For mayor of San Marcos, as of 7:30 p.m., Daniel Guererro is in the lead with 64.09% of the votes against Patrick Montgomery with 14.8% of the votes, and Jonathan Sorenson with 20.97% of the votes.

As of 8:57 p.m., Daniel Guererro is in the lead with 2,850 votes (64.03%), with Jonathan Sorenson at 954 votes (21.43%).

As of 9:21 p.m., Daniel Guererro is in the lead with 3,318 votes, and Jonathan Sorenson with  1,107 votes.

 

For council member Place 3, as of 7:30 p.m. John Thomaides is in the lead with 1,636 votes, with Mike Davis at 1,458 votes.

As of 8:57 p.m., John Thomaides is still in the lead with 2,363 votes (54.61%), with Mike Davis at 1,964 (45.39%).

As of 9:21 p.m., John Thomaides is in the lead with 2,714 votes, and Mike Davis has 2,305.

 

For council member Place 4, Jane Hughson is in the lead with 1,758 votes, and Wayne Becak at 1,390 votes.

At 8:57 p.m., Jane Hughson is still in the lead with 2,506 votes (56.86%), and Wayne Becak at 1,906 votes (43.14%).

As of 9:21 p.m., Jane Hughson has 2,896 votes, and Wayne Becak has 2,211.

 

In regards to Prop. 1, as of 7:40 p.m., the unofficial votes in Hays County are as following:

For: 284
Against: 360

As of 8:57 p.m., the results for Prop. 1 are as follows:
For: 412
Against: 514

As of 9:21 p.m., the results for Prop. 1 are as follows:
For: 426
Against: 536

 

As of 8:45 p.m., unofficial Texas governor voting results are as follows:
Gregg Abbott: 12,917 votes (53.35%)
Wendy Davis: 10,794 (44.58%)
Kathie Glass: 412 (1.70%)
Brandon Parmer: 97 (0.73%)

As of 9:21 p.m., the Texas governor results are as follows:
Gregg Abbott: 15,738
Wendy Davis: 13,210
Kathie Glass: 571
Brandon Parmer: 172

 

As of 8:50 p.m., unofficial lieutenant governor voting results are as follows:
Dan Patrick: 13,542 (51.98%)
Leticia Putte: 11,434 (43.89%)
Robert Butler: 885 (3.40%)
Chandrakantha Courtney: 190 (0.73%)

As of 9:21 p.m., the lieutenant governor results are as follows:
Dan Patrick: 15,329
Leticia Putte: 12,841
Robert Butler: 1,064
Chandrakantha Courtney: 238

The official Nov. 4, 2014 election results are as follows
Texas Governor: Greg Abbott with 20,960 votes
Lieutenant Governor: Dan Patrick with 20,413 votes
Mayor of San Marcos: Daniel Geurerro with 3,803 votes
With 130 more votes, Proposition 1 was not passed.
The Council Member Place 3 was won by John Thomaides, with 3,106 votes
Council Member Place 4 was won by Jane Hughson, with 3,341 votes.
