The Bobcats snapped a 4 game losing streak last night with a 67-61 win over Troy. This completed the Bobcats sweep over this conference opponent and improved their conference record to 6-11. Kavin Tilbury led the way in the scoring column with 13 points followed by Emani Gant with 10. Emani Gant seemed confident about the rest of their schedule.

I feel like we could win the whole thing honestly, if we get on a roll play defense the way we’re supposed to, stay aggressive on offense, I feel like we can win it all.

Over the past few weeks head coach Danny Kasper has stressed that the team needs a certain level of motivation. This week Kasper was impressed with the teams new found intensity going into this game.

Tonight they were ready to play. There was an intensity, a little bit more intensity to practice this week than normal. So thats the difference.

The Bobcats are currently in the 8th spot of the Sun Belt. The next three games will have to be wins for the Bobcats, and some teams above them in the conference will need to lose for Texas State to make the Sun Belt tournament. Kavin Tilbury had this to say about practice going into the next 3 games.

Practice, we got to go harder than the game the game is supposed to be easier so coach tells us to keep going hard, keep doing what we do and it will transfer over to the game and make it easier for us.

The Bobcats next game is at home against Arkansas State on Saturday February, 28 at 4:30. For KTSW Sorts I’m Kyle Spencer.
