The 12-15-1 Bobcats will open a three-game series against a 12-15 Baylor team tomorrow night. Although the Bobcats are walking into tomorrow nights game having lost their last game against UTSA 5-4. assistant coach Jeremy Fikac feels comfortable with his teams play going into tomorrow’s game versus the Bears,
“We’re excited to get back after it. I think we’re playing okay baseball right now, it’s a great opportunity for us to compete on the weekends with the Big 12 which is something that we don’t do a whole lot.”
While the Bears are sitting three games below .500 they are accustomed to playing against powerhouses like Oklahoma and UT, so the Bobcats will have to bring their A-game in order to stay competitive
“It’s gonna be fun, Baylor’s playing good baseball, won two out of three against Oklahoma and we’re aware of that. We’ll have a quick day tomorrow and then we’ll be back at them on Thursday.”
The pitching matchups are yet to be determined. The Bobcats first game starting off the series will be in San Marcos tomorrow night at 6 p.m. Friday’s game will be in Waco at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays game will also be in Waco at 3 p.m. All three games will be heard right here on KTSW.
