Straight out of Seattle, Washington, Craft Spells graced us here at KTSW with their presence. This is their first trip to Texas since playing SXSW in 2012, so we were happy to give them a warm welcome back. The band was started by Justin Vallesteros and has now been playing with this new line-up for a year. I had never sat down and listened to these guys before they came to the studio but the minute they played their first track “Breaking the Angle Against the Tide” I was automatically hooked. The song brings together chill vibes and clean guitar riffs with upbeat percussion and my personal favorite element that actually managed to give me goosebumps; the strings. If you haven’t heard of these guys before then I recommend you check that song out first.

They also played some other songs off of their new album called “Nausea” which is now available to download on iTunes. Check out their full interview with the Fern and Sydney above and don’t forget to go like them on Facebook. Craft Spells is also on tour right now and you can find their dates for your city on their website.
