SAN ANTONIO– One of our very own KTSW Sports Reporters was able to get some exclusive pictures and videos from the Lamarcus Aldridge press conference earlier this month from the Spurs practice facility.

Aldridge is the biggest free agent the Spurs franchise has seen in years. Aldridge’s maximum contract with the Spurs is set for a four-year $84.1 million.

“This organization is first class,” Aldridge said. “This team has a winning tradition.”

After moving from Portland, Oregon to play for the Spurs, LaMarcus is enjoying this new location to be by his family.

“This is a great opportunity to be close to my family. This is a great opportunity to win and be close to home.”

Growing up, Aldridge idolized Tim Duncan. Now he gets to play with his childhood hero this upcoming season.

“Whether Tim was 90 or 100 the (Spurs) always win with him.”

“Its going to be fun for me. Everything that you hear about Tim as far as class. He works hard it will be awesome for me to learn from him as we go along this season. Any time I have an opportunity to learn. That’s priceless.”

The coveted free agent announced he chose to play for the Spurs on July 4th, and was officially signed on July 9th.
