Bobcat Stadium has installed a new artificial turf designed to keep the field 35 degrees cooler than traditional turf.
The FieldTurf Revolution 360 is an impressive enough playing surface that the Seattle Seahawks use it for their home field. Bobcat Stadium is the only football field in Texas with a FieldTurf Revolution 360 playing field, creating a different type of home field advantage. All of the gear football players wear makes it feel much hotter outside, and the ability to remove that impact in August and September will be great for the Bobcat’s health.
“Having a new playing surface installed in Bobcat Stadium is a real plus as it provides proof that Texas State football is growing and that the future of the program is bright,” said Head Football Coach Everett Withers.
The new field is a good sign for the football team and a great example how the school continues to support our football team.
