Freshman Lincoln Warren of the Texas State track team took home a medal with a fifth-place finish at the USA Track & Field Junior Outdoor Championship Sunday night.
Warren reached the finals by running a 400m run in 47.82 in the first round on Saturday night. His time qualified him as a wildcard spot.
Warren then finished in the finals on Sunday with a time of 48.28 in the 400m run. He missed qualifying for the World Championship by one spot.
Warren was the only Texas State Track & Field member to take home a medal in the Outdoor Championship over the weekend.
