Other Side Drive Talks to Operation Turkey in Preparation for Thanksgiving
Join DJ Butter and Lady Lou as they interview the project manager of the San Marcos chapter of Operation Turkey, Jesse Ruiz. Operation Turkey is a non profit organization that provides hot turkey meals to the homeless and less fortunate on Thanksgiving day. As of 2016 the organization spans 12 cities and 6 states.
Last year, the San Marcos chapter served roughly 2,000 meals with the help of 75 volunteers. Operation Turkey in San Marcos prepares meals out of Texas Roadhouse and delivers them to the community and surrounding areas.
