Texas State Baseball defeated Prairie View A&M by a final score of 10 to 1 on Tuesday night. The Bobcats move to a record of 18-11 with the win. Cam Baird led the way for the Bobcats with eight great innings on the mound only allowing one run scored.
Baird got his first win of the season to move him to a record of (1-2) of the season. The Bobcats offensively made their mark by scoring three runs in the third and seven runs in the seventh. Prairie View A&M only scored their one run in the seventh and were held in check for most of the game. The Panthers only tallied five hits while the Bobcats blasted 13 hits.
The key players for the Bobcats were Jonathan Ortega and Jacob Almendarez who each drove in two runs. The only bright spot for the Panthers was third baseman Tyrone Thomas who had a RBI single in the top of the seventh.

The Bobcats look to keep the positive momentum going as the take on University of Texas Rio Grande Valley today. That game will start at 6:15pm with the first pitch. The Bobcats then head to Little Rock to take on the Little Rock Trojans out of Arkansas. Those games can be heard right here on KTSW.
