Q&A With Ben Reiter: Sports Illustrated Writer and Astroball Expert

We recently had Sports Illustrated’s Ben Reiter come to Texas State and speak with us about his experience covering the Houston Astros from 2014 to their World Series title run in 2017. Reiter is most notably famous for the infamous SI cover predicting the Astros to win the 2017 World Series three years prior. With myself recording with my iPhone and Reed Graff conducting the interview, Reiter gave us some excellent insight into how he gained access to the Astros front office as well as how it all led to writing the book “Astroball: The New Way to Win it All.” He also had some thoughts on Texas State Athletics and the football program too.
