The Texas State women’s basketball team beat the ULM Warhawks by 11 Thursday night in Fant-Ewing Coliseum. The Bobcats have improved their record to 12-14 and 7-7 in conference play. This is the second time this year that the Bobcats have gone on on a three-game win streak.

Texas State started off at a turtle’s pace again falling behind by six in the first three minutes after the Warhawks sank two three-pointers. The Bobcats clawed their way back and eventually gained the lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter had a lot of ups and downs, with Texas State going up by seven but eventually ending the half up by a score of four.
ULM fought back in the beginning third quarter and eventually went up by five due to good shooting. After a made bucket by Bailey Holle, Texas State outscored ULM 19- 4 in the last 5:22 of the quarter.
Going into the final quarter of play, ULM cut the 14-point bobcat lead to six with 2:21 left to play in the game. An assist by Leavitt to Bailey Holle extended the lead to eight and the Bobcats never looked back, ending the game with a score of 62-51.
