Bobcat Radio is a 30-minute specialty show discussing everything Texas State and San Marcos sports. Three staff members jump on the mics three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11 a.m. and discuss sports. A guest joins each episode, namely a coach, player or figure close to the athletic programs at Texas State and San Marcos High School.
Our second episode of the year (and the decade) is filled with awesome content! Host Garrett Martin and co-hosts Josh Orozco and Reilly Low discuss the Texas State football signing class, the struggles that head coach Zenerea Antoine and her Bobcats are going through, and the biggest game of the year for men’s basketball.
Two guests join this episode. The first is Jaxon Williams, All-Sun Belt First Team second baseman last season. Now in his senior season, he shares his transition to division one baseball, some of the new pitchers on the mound for the Bobcats and who his all-time favorite MLB players are.
The second guest is boy’s head basketball coach at San Marcos High School, Steven Pinchback. Pinchback is in his first season as head coach of the Rattlers, and his presence is already felt in the program. He explains how he got to San Marcos, what his team is about and how his freshman players are stepping up into key roles.
