Football Crawls Closer

Bobcat Radio is a 30-minute to an hour specialty show discussing everything Texas State and San Marcos sports. Three staff members jump on the mics three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11 a.m. and discuss sports. A guest joins each episode, namely a coach, player or figure close to the athletic programs at Texas State and San Marcos High School.
In this episode, host Garrett Martin and his co-hosts Ethan Hamilton and Jacob Staires talk about the fresh set of faces coming to Texas State to play football this fall. National Signing Day looms just around the corner, so these Bobcats take a look at the offensive and defensive names that will impact the roster next season.
In addition, Texas State football beat writer Keff Ciardello joins the show to talk about the exciting names in this class and the significant coaching changes on this team.
After the weather, assistant coach of the San Marcos Rattlers boy’s basketball team, Jason Napoli, calls into the studio to discuss the matchup against Judson High School and how this coaching staff handles practice and keeping things fun.
At the end of the show, Bobcat men’s basketball sits under the microscope after the team picked up their sixth Sun Belt win. The action continues on Karen Chisum Night on Feb. 1.
