11/11/20: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

SAN MARCOS, Texas- As of November 11, there are 412 active coronavirus cases in San Marcos, a 7 case increase since November 9, according to the Hays County COVID-19 dashboard.

There have been 9 reported cases since the San Marcos CISD resumed in-person instruction on October 5 at 50% capacity, according to the San Marcos CISD COVID-19 dashboard.

The Hays County Local Health Department is encouraging residents to get flu shots ahead of flu season. The Texas State University Student Health Center is now taking appointments for flu shots. Call 512-245-2161 to schedule an appointment or visit their website for more information.

As of November 11, the Texas Department of State Health Services reports a total of one million COVID-19 cases and 19,400 deaths since March in the state of Texas.
