In this second episode of “Behind the Sounds”, Ryan Dupre dives into the subgenre of soft-electronic music, created by such artists as Flying Lotus, Medasin, Kaytranada, and more. Throughout the segment, we’ll build a track from scratch that seeks to emulate the defining elements of this subgenre of music, demonstrating and explaining each and every element along the way.
In just under fifteen minutes, we’ll have created a unique instrumental track with an understanding of each element included, and how they contribute to the song as a whole.
