In this episode of History of the Hill Country, I will be exploring the rich history of Fredericksburg, Texas. Originally, the Comanches had settled into this area, but as settlers began moving further and further west into Texas, this pristine area was eventually uncovered. After a small group surveyed the land, the word was sent out and hundreds of settlers began arriving into the area, mainly of German descent.
Check out this episode of History of the Hill Country where I will do my best to dissect this interesting area of Texas while also butchering a lot of German names in the process!
