Freshman Southpaw Nolan Moore Out for Season

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Two weekends ago in the second game of a Friday doubleheader against Washington State, Nolan Moore exited the game early at the start of the third inning with clear arm discomfort with no update until last night.
After the 9-6 loss to the #23 Texas A&M Aggies on the road, Head Coach Steven Trout said Moore will be out for the rest of the season.
“He goes to the doctor this weekend to figure out the exact timeframe for that,” Trout said. “But he will be out for the year for us.”
The freshman southpaw from New Braunfels was making waves to start the 2026 season as the Bobcats number two starter with an amazing 0.53 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 17 innings, including 13 straight scoreless frames before his season came to an abrupt end.
Trout and company will continue to look for another arm to step up and fill the empty slot in the weekend rotation with a big conference series vs the #25 Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns coming up in San Marcos. You can catch all three games live on KTSW 89.9.
