SAN ANTONIO– The Second Round of the Valero has officially finished on Day three due to a weather delay. The end of round two was the morning of day three to start the Day during round two. Luke Clanton chipped in on the No. 9 to make it above the 2-under cutline and live to see another day. 70 players at 2-under (142) from a field of 132 professionals made it to the weekend for a chance at Augusta and a purse of $9,800,000 ($1,764,000/winner). Leading in the clubhouse for round 2 was Robert Macintyre, sitting at 14-under for the tournament after posting an 8-under 64, with Ludvig Aberg Trailing just behind him, sitting solo 2nd at 10-under for the tournament after a 5-under 67 for round 2. The highest rated player in the field, No. 4 Tommy Fleetwood, is tied for 13, hitting seven-under. Coming in tied for third was Tony Finau, Bud Cauley, Kevin Roy and Thorbjorn Olesen.

22 players in the field have already been invited to play in The Masters next week. Of those 22, five missed the cut headed into the third round of play in San Antonio. Webb Simpson has withdrawn from the tournament, with Lucas Glover also leaving after sustaining a shoulder injury. Round 3 will resume play again later this afternoon. Check back in on another update on the tournament here on the blog.
