Lincoln Pare’s NFL Dreams Come True

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Saturday the 25th marked the end of the three day NFL draft. Hopeful college athletes get to see if their name gets called to stamp themselves into the NFL. However, just because you don’t get picked doesn’t mean you can’t still play. 

A Bobcat trades his claws for horseshoes Saturday, as former Texas State star Running Back Lincoln Pare has signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent. 

This comes after a stellar year for Pare, as he finished second in the Sun Belt in rushing yards and attempts with 210 carries and 1,128 yards with 12 touchdowns on the ground. He also averaged 5.4 yards per carry. 

Lincoln Pare played five seasons of college football. His first two years were with Arkansas State before transferring to Texas State, where he finished his final three seasons. 

Over his collegiate career, Pare played in 59 games. In those games he totaled 3,359 rushing yards on 656 carries. Which gives him a very respectable 5.1 yards per carry. He also racked up 34 total touchdowns. 

Pare’s best collegiate game came during his senior year in the first game of the season. A game in which he totaled 167 yards on the ground on only 12 carries and a touchdown against Eastern Michigan University. 

Lincoln Pare looks to compete for a Colts 53 man roster spot this offseason in a running back room with a star workhorse in Jonathan Taylor, as well as DJ Giddens, 7th round rookie Seth McGowan, and 2025 rookie Ulysses Bentley.
