Hi! I'm Aaliyah and I'm the co-programming director here at KTSW! Part of my job is to train incoming DJs and create the schedule of KTSW's programming. Aside from programming, I'm a mass communications from senior from the Houston area. I love consuming any kind of music media in my free time and my favorite artists are Mk.gee, Clario, and Pinegrove.
Before KTSW, Dan lived in Nebraska where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting Communications at Wayne State College. He later earned a Master of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of South Dakota. He's been the General Manager at KTSW since 2001. Fun fact: He is a crazy music collector with nearly 4,000 vinyl records and CD's! "Getting the KTSW GM?Faculty advisor position in '01 has allowed me to continue to work in the radio field and to continue teaching in a lab and classroom setting, the best possible gig I can imagine for myself."
Hello! I’m Emma Peters, a dynamic and results-driven senior at Texas State University, majoring in Mass Communications with a minor in Media Studies. With a passion for storytelling and community engagement, I’ve gained hands-on experience working in fast-paced environments, where I thrive both as a leader and as a collaborative team member. As the Executive Director of the News and Culture Department at KTSW, I’m responsible for assigning, reporting, writing, and editing articles for KTSW’s blog, with a focus on keeping Texas State students and the San Marcos community informed. It’s an exciting opportunity to help shape the department’s content and contribute to the growth of student journalism.
