Other Side Drive This Week

Hey everybody! Hope you all had an amazing winter break but now it’s about that time…classes, homework and your favorite radio program — Other Side Drive!

Here’s some of what you can look forward to this week!

Monday, Other Side Drive will be talking with members of The Shady Rest Band. This is a folk/bluegrass four-piece from Austin, they have an album out and are now working on an EP titled woolymammothsasquatch. These guys have toured all over the country and even opened for Bob Dylan when he played the Whitewater Amphitheater two summers ago! They’re also going to be playing on campus so tune in and check these guys out!

KTSW is putting on the Bookstore Blowout on Tuesday in the University Bookstore and this is where you’ll get to see The Shady Rest Band, but also playing the event will be Other Side Drive’s in-studio guest for Tuesday– Lauren Burton! She’s a singer/songwriter who’s done the solo thing, the duo thing and the band thing. The band, Lauren and The Black List, played MR Fest last year and this week she’ll be playing for us again. Once you get your fill of live music at the bookstore, tune into Other Side Drive and learn more about this talented musician!
