SXSW Film Festival 2013: “Broadway Idiot”
Despite Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day frontman) being a no-show on the world premiere red carpet of “Broadway Idiot,” which follows him during the making of his musical “American Idiot” on Broadway, Monica and I got to speak with director Doug Hamilton and “Cuatro” director Tim Wheeler.
Monica stayed to catch the double feature, which also included the documentary “Cuatro,” a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Green Day’s album trilogy (“Uno,” “Dos,” and “Tre”).
