Big Plans in ASG
While the Federal Government is still shut down, Associated Student Government doesn’t miss a beat. When President Vanessa Cortez ran for ASG President one of the main platforms she ran on was the safe ride program.
We are currently in the process of creating what it is right now a student organization and we are looking for outside funding to make it successful here.

Something new ASG has started this year is the march of the band, Strutters, and cheerleaders at the tailgate to get everyone really excited about the game. Right now ASG has some great legislature being written.
“One of them is to put up maps in the buses so students know where they are going and [Eddy Perez] met with an Administration and they are going to make it happen and that’s really great to see that go through.”
ASG meetings are held every Monday at 7 pm and are located in LBJ fourth floor room 4-5.1 and are open to the public so students can attend.
