Haysinformed Publishes to Facebook, Twitter

The Haysinformed website updates can now be accessed on Facebook and Twitter.

HaysInformed.com is the site for official emergency information updates from Hays County law enforcement and response agencies. On this website there are updates on road closures and public safety notices for major emergencies throughout Hays County. In the last ten days, the Haysinformed Website has made their updates accessible on both Facebook and Twitter. Hays County Communications Specialist, Laureen Chernow talks about how the haysinfromed facebook and twitter came about.

“A web team at a local website called The Kyle Life decided to go ahead and do that for us, they went ahead and did all the heavy lifting for us and so we got a Facebook and Twitter for haysinformed.com earlier then we thought we would.”

Officials on the way to the scene or on-scene commanders will then post information onto the Haysinformed website where the update will automatically be posted on Facebook and Twitter.
