ASG Hosts Round Table
Texas State University’s Associated Student government, recently hosted their Round Table event where President Trauth and key administrators were available to answer student questions about the University.
The Associated Student Government at Texas State host their Round Table events each semester to promote what is going on with departments at the University. ASG uses this event to give students that direct contact with administrators in a more relaxed setting.
“We try and give students an opportunity to have face-to-face contact with heads of administration, starting from the top with Dr. Denise Trauth.”
– Edward Perez
ASG recruits administrators from several different departments and assigns them to separate tables. Students are then given the opportunity to choose which tables to sit at depending on the topics they want to discuss. The event lasts for about an hour with 10 minute sessions per table, allowing students to speak to as many administrators as possible.
“This is a good chance that you have to have that great communication with them.”
– Edward Perez
There were several discussions between students and administrators about the future changes to be made at the LBJ Student Center and the Jones food hall. The administrators encourage students to attend these events so that students can voice their opinions about the University. Texas State University’s President, Denise Trauth appreciates ASG for hosting the Round Table events every semester.
“I just think it’s a wonderful chance for me to hear first hand from students. We make some changes in the University based on these round tables.”
– Denise Trauth
