Good Friday is considered a state holiday in 14 states, but is not a national holiday. States such as Texas, Indiana and Hawaii permit state employees to have the day off.

Director of Communications of the City of San Marcos  Melissa Mellicam explained what defendants are to do if they are affected by the closure on Friday.

“So if people who might have appointments or to make appearances or file any  paperwork on this friday will have until Monday to do that so they are getting a weekend extension to get their
paper work in.”
– Melissa Mellicam

Mellicam also explains what people are to do regarding the closure on Good Friday.

“That if people have any questions or any concerns they can call 512-393-8190 and they can talk to Court Administrator Susie Garcia or one of the staff members.”
– Melissa Mellicam
