September 26-28 marked Weird history in Austin, as Austin Mic Exchange sponsored the inaugural Weird City hip-hop festival. The three-day event took place at event centers like Empire Control Room, Lamberts Downtown BBQ, The North Door, Red 7 and more.

Artists included Crew 54, Lyric Michelle, Riders Against the Storm (RAS), Exploded Drawing, Magna Carda and other artists. Some featured artists (and Austinites) were new to the music world, while others traveled far to join in the Weird-ness.
