Our first In the Public Interest of the fall semester focuses on the LGBT community in San Marcos. The first story gives a profile on Silvia Sandoval and how she was able to host the first Pride event in San Marcos this year. The second story takes a look at the local Drag community and how drag queens are responding to the cultures in Central Texas. Our last story talks about Bobcat PRIDE and other on-and-off campus LBGTQIA resources.
