Last week was exciting here at KTSW; Other Side Drive had an in-studio performance each day.
We kicked off our jam packed week with a performance from Alex Napping. Alex Napping is a four-member band from Austin comprised of Alex Cohen (vocals and guitar), Adrian Haynes (guitar), Tomas Garcia-Olano (bass) and Andrew Stevens (drums). The group formed in September 2013 and released their debut album, “This Is Not A Bedroom,” in September.

We continued our week with a great performance from Mandy Sloan. Mandy is from St. Augustine, FL but now lives in Austin. She released her album, “Whispers and Dreams,” in late October.

Groove Think spiced up our Wednesday with their performance. Groove Think is a trio based in Austin. The band formed in 2010 and have released multiple albums.

Beat Bodega kept us going on Thursday. This four-man band from Austin released their debut album in July.

We finished our week with Troupe of the Revolt. Troupe of the Revolt is a theater group based at Texas State. They create five-to-10 minute street plays, normally in The Quad. Their goal is for theater to be accessible to everyone. Anyone is welcome to join.

Other Side Drive
A progressive, rock-fusion trio out of Austin, Groove Think is a band that will definitely blow you away with its dynamic sound. On Nov. 19, the boys from Groove Think stopped by the KTSW Studio. They talked and then they rocked.
Combining their love of bands like Rush and Red Hot Chili Peppers, Groove Think has mastered their own eclectic style. For more info on Groove Think, check them out on Facebook or go to their website.
