Police are currently investigating a shooting that has left one man dead and another man with critical injuries.

The shooting occurred at approximately 11:14 p.m. Monday evening near the Townwood Apartment complex on the 500 block of Linda Drive.
The San Marcos Police Department responded to 911 calls made from residents and neighbors of Linda Drive and discovered a person lying on the ground.
Earl Edward Clark III, 42, was found deceased within the apartment complex with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim with critical injuries has been identified as Jay Ryan Guerrero, 19, and has been transported to a Central Texas trauma hospital.
Both victims are not residents of the apartment complex and are from San Antonio, TX.
The San Marcos Assistant Chief of Police Bob Klett says that the shooting appears to not be a random incident and is currently in the early stages of investigation. Klett also says there is no threat to the safety of the general public at this moment.
