The talk of a possible suicide crash of the Germanwings flight that killed all 150 people aboard has now arisen. According to the Washington Post, a French prosecutor said earlier today that the co-pilot wanted to destroy the plane. The statement comes after the voice recorder on the plane was found and indicated that the pilot was locked out of the cockpit before the A320 crashed into the French Alps on Tuesday. -Reynaldo Leanos Jr.
A new bill was signed into law today that will allow businesses to turn away gay and lesbian customers in the name of religious freedom. Indiana Governor Mike Pence has sparked a conversation among church groups that hold their conventions in Indianapolis and businesses there are threatening to pull out of the city. According to CNN, Pence says the constitution of the United States and the Indiana Constitution both provide strong recognition of the freedom of religion, but many feel threatened that their religious liberty is under attack. -Reynaldo Leanos Jr.
A member of the Army National Guard and his cousin have been arrested in Illinois for allegedly conspiring to provide material to support ISIS. According to CNN, the army national guard member was arrested yesterday at a Chicago airport while attempting to travel to Egypt to eventually join ISIS and his cousin was arrested at his home. -Allie Ibarra
At around 8 this morning the San Marcos Police Department responded to an indecent exposure report that happened off campus at the University Heights Apartment. The man was seen wearing a blue track suit and cap and had his pants down and fondling himself. The man is described as in his mid fifties with a medium build and roughly 5’8 to 5’11 tall. Law enforcement officials believe it is the same man who was involved with the indecent exposure incidents on Monday and yesterday.
