Monday April 6

• Unhappy Hour plays at Cheatham Street Warehouse at 9:30 p.m.

Tuesday April 7

• City Council Meeting at 5 p.m. at the City Council Chambers.
• Folk Family Revival in store performance and CD release at Superfly’s Lone Star Music Emporium at 6 p.m.
• Haley Cole and Aaron Stephens play at Cheatham Street Warehouse. Aaron Stephens plays at 9:30 p.m., Haley Cole plays at 10:45 p.m.

Wednesday April 8

• Philosophy Dialogue series at the San Marcos Public Library at 3:30 p.m.
• Texas State Softball vs. Baylor at Bobcat Softball Stadium at 6 p.m.
• Ray Wylie Hubbard in store performance and CD release at Superfly’s Lone Star Music Emporium at 6 p.m.

Thursday April 9

• The Keep San Marcos Beautiful Spring Concert Series at Plaza Park is back, with The Spazmatics. Activities begin at 6:30 p.m., music begins at 7:30 p.m.
• Yellow Claw performs at The Marc. Doors are at 8 p.m.
• Shane Smith Band plays at Cheatham Street Warehouse with a special guest. They play at 9 p.m.

Friday April 10

• The Friends of the Library Book Sale is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the San Marcos Rec Hall.
• The Spring Downtown Art and Wine Walk will be at the Square from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
• Texas Renegade plays at 10:30 at Cheatham Street Warehouse.

Saturday April 11

• San Marcos Farmer’s Market will be held at San Marcos Downtown Square from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Art Squared Art Market will be held at San Marco’s downtown square from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• ACK (Austin Kayak) is having a free demo from 9:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Texas Ski Ranch.
• Youth Fest will be at Plaza Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The Friends of the Library Book Sale is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the San Marcos Rec Hall.
• The Texas Wild Rice Festival will be at Sewell Park from noon to 11 p.m. From noon to 6 p.m. there will be free workshops in science, sustainability, arts and crafts, movement arts, history and guided river hikes. From noon to 11 p.m. there will be music performances on the main stage. From 9-11 p.m. there will be a screening of Yakona with live orchestra. From noon to 6 p.m. there will be vendors and educational booths. From 2-6 there will be keynote speakers on several water issues of Central Texas.
• Texas State Tennis vs. Midwestern State at Bobcat Tennis Complex at 12:30 p.m.
• Texas State Softball will have a double header versus Troy at Bobcat Softball Stadium. The first game is at 1 p.m., the second is at 3 p.m.
• The Spring Downtown Art and Wine Walk will be at the Square from 3-6 p.m.

Sunday April 12

• The Got Your Back 5K will be at Five Mile Dam Park. Registration is at 7 a.m., the run starts at 8 a.m.
• Jazz Brunch at the Square from 10 a.m. to noon featuring T-Bone and the Bluestones.
• ACK (Austin Kayak) is having a free demo from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Texas Ski Ranch.
• Texas State Softball vs. Troy at Bobcat Softball Stadium at noon.
• The Friends of the Library Book Sale is open from 1-5 p.m. at the San Marcos Rec Hall.
• The Hays County CROP Hunger Walk will be at Dunbar Recreation Center. Registration is at 2 p.m., it starts at 2:30 p.m.
• Unicycle Football playoffs at Gold Crown Billiards at 3 p.m.
