As college students, sometimes we do not have the money to purchase a pass to Fiesta Texas or Schlitterban. Sometimes we do not have the time to spend an entire day at one of those places. However, we all want to feel like a kid again and let all the stress of classes go. Springloaded and the Texas Ski Ranch are cheaper options to your average theme park. They are located between New Braunfels and San Marcos on a plot of land big enough to hold two cable lakes, one boat lake, a summer camp, a trampoline park, a skate park, and a turf snowboard hill.

These options are more active than going to another movie or bowlling or mini golfing, which we have all done those things a million times. Springloaded Trampoline Park is a great place to get some exercise jumping or playing dodgeball or basketball. Every Tuesday they have dodgeball tournaments from 5-9 p.m., so gather your team of four and head that way. The trampolines are perfect for those rainy days when you want to get out of the house but you cannot go to the river.

On the other hand, if it is a gorgeous Texas summer day you can try wakeboarding, snowboarding, or skateboarding at the Texas Ski Ranch. The super chill atmosphere makes for a great time. Even if you do not want to get on a board you can lounge on the beach and watch your friends ride, and probably fall. The friendly staff will even help you on your board if you are a first-timer. Once the sun has worn you out and the water has brought on some intense hunger, Wahoo’s Fish Taco is right upstairs. They have amazing fish tacos, a full bar, and much more.

The Texas Ski Ranch and Springloaded Trampoline Park is an all around good time. Next time you are looking for something new and exciting to do, head towards New Braunfels and take exit 195.
