A stowaway on a British Airways jet was found dead on a roof in Richmond, London. It is unclear if the man had crouched in the wheel well which is a very common hiding place for a stowaway. A second man was hospitalized after being injured while hiding in the undercarriage of the plane. British Airways are working with authorities to investigate the situation.

Yesterday, Dylann Roof, who is suspected of killing nine people, was arrested during a traffic stop in Shelby, North Carolina. According to a law enforcement source, the 21 year old admitted to killing nine people during a bible study in a historically black church in Charleston South Carolina. According to officials, Roof told investigators he sought to create a race war.
Roof appeared at a bond hearing earlier this afternoon. His bond was set at 1 million dollars on a weapon charge.

A monument that celebrates more than 400 years of achievements by African Americans in Texas should be installed outside the Capitol next year. The monument will be placed near the south grounds entrance of the Capitol near 11th street. A model of the monument is on display at the Texas Capitol’s agriculture museum.

The city of San Marcos has launched a new Instagram account. The city’s communication office hopes to interact with citizens in a “social and visual way.” Although the city already has a Facebook and Twitter page to send out timely information, the city plans on using Instagram as a way to give citizens a “unique perspective” of the city.
