Place 5 Candidate Frank Arredondo’s Message to Voters
The University Star hosted a debate between City Council Candidates for place five and place six, where candidate for place 5, Frank Arredondo, had something to say to voters.
Past mayor and City councilor for the City of San Marcos, Frank Arredondo, is seeking election for place 5 on the San Marcos City Council. Arredondo is running against newcomer Scott Gregson, since incumbent Ryan Thomason is not running for re-election.
Besides serving as mayor and on the City council, Arredondo has served in a multitude of leadership positions. He is currently the Board Chairmen of the San Marcos Housing Authority and has served as President of the Hays County Appraisal Committee.
Arredondo says he will definitely draw upon his past experience, if elected to the City Council.
“I’ve been in city Government before in an elected position, as city councilmen and as mayor. And I have experience, leadership, and trust with the people.“
Arredondo said he has embraced the history of San Marcos, and is dedicated to the community he was born and raised in.
“I’m very community minded I’ve served various boards and commissions, and all the elementary school PTA’s and the booster clubs that my children have been involved in. So I’m a can do person, I’m the one that steps up when things need to take place.”
Arredondo said that he wants to protect the neighborhoods and quality of life for San Marcans, as well as create jobs to build a better San Marcos.
Frank Arredondo is running against Scott Gregson for 5 on the San Marcos City Council, early voting begins on Monday October 19th.
