In a dorm or an apartment, go to the lowest floor of your building and seek shelter in a bathroom, interior hallway, closet or a room with no windows. Crouch as low to the floor as possible, face down and cover your head with your hands.
A bathtub may offer partial protection, even in an interior room. When seeking shelter in a bathtub, you should cover yourself with some form of thick blanket to protect yourself from falling debris in the roof and ceiling fail. A helmet may offer some protection from head injury.
