Apps that make school easier

Need help staying organized this semester without carrying around a bunch of note books and binders? Then check out these apps to help keep you organized on the go.

Microsoft Office

If you have Microsoft account, you can download any Microsoft Office app for free. These apps include Onenote, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. These work on phones and tablets. However, if you have a Microsoft tablet, like the surface pro, then you have to purchase Microsoft Office. So instead of lugging around a bunch of notebooks or a heavy laptop, you can whip out your phone or tablet and get to work.

Homework Planner

You could always buy an actual planner but let’s be honest, most of us forget to write in it on a regular basis. Instead, try out an app called MyHomework that keeps track of all your assignments, quizzes and tests. The app will you give you reminders when you have assignments coming up and when you should be studying.

Google Docs

Have a group assignment but can’t all get together to collaborate? Download Google Docs and invite your partners to work on a document with you. You can all view it and work on it at the same time or different times.

Top Hat

Many professors have started opting out of the clicker method and have moved on to Top Hat, an app that allows students to answer question and follow along with presentations. If your professors uses Top Hat, you have to purchase an account but a one time purchase works for all of your classes that use it. Once you have an account, it’s easy to download the app and login on your phone or tablet during class.
