Andrew Diener is a 34-year-old undergraduate student studying sociology. He is currently in his second semester.
“I’m not really sure what I want to do,” Diener said about his post-graduation plans. “(Sociology is) the topic of interest for me.”
Before he started his collegiate career, Diener had several jobs.
“I worked at a mental health institution for about three years and since then, I’ve been working as like a caregiver for a guy with a disability,” Diener said. “I still do that, off and on, because I’m in school full-time so I don’t really do that very much.”
Although he lives in Austin, Diener said he spends a lot of his time on campus since he’s a full-time student.
“Probably favorite hobby these days is kayaking on Lady Bird Lake in Austin,” Diener said.
“My life pretty much consists of school, hanging out with friends on the weekends. I’m just living a pretty quiet life these days,” Diener said.
