The Hill Country has been known for its barbecue, incredible scenery of never-ending greenery and lately, its splash into the rock scene. One of the bands responsible for the cultivation and revival of good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll is New Braunfels’ based band Foxmoor Express. They describe themselves as “three childhood friends who just want to play good ol’ classic rock ‘n’ roll.” They’ve been able to bring a twist to the gritty psychedelic blues rock style and shine through the crooning vocals of Christian Ellis, the raucus druming of Cameron Martin, and the smooth, skeletal bass lines by Matt Moreno.
Recently, coming off a huge showcase at SXSW at Swan Dive, they’re looking to continue their momentum with their appearance at this year’s MR Fest. You can catch them playing on April 29 at 10 p.m. at Stonewall Warehouse where they will help kick off the festival.
You can find their music on their bandcamp.
