Brandon Smith is a young confident rapper/producer out of Dallas who moved to San Marcos last year to attend Texas State University. He has already released three albums with the latest one titled Africa: Black Boy, to a Black Man. In his most recent interview with University Star, he explained that one his main missions is help the audience learn something.
His latest album Africa is very much a concept album with a theme of evolution and growth. Tracks one through four are very different from five through nine. Brandon Smith is covering a lot of ground at such a young age and it is exciting to know that he will bless the MR Fest stage at such an early blooming stage. At the rate that he is going, I have no doubt that he will become one of the great rappers of his generation coming out of Texas.
